Is your Samsung refrigerator’s upper left door hinge giving you trouble? If so, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered with a step-by-step guide on how to replace it. Before you begin the procedure, make sure to unplug the appliance’s power cord for safety.

Tools Required

  • Phillips head screwdriver

Procedure

  1. Remove Hinge Cover: Use the Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the three mounting screws securing the hinge cover. Set the cover aside.
  2. Detach Old Hinge: Have an assistant help to hold the door as you release the upper hinge support. Lift the front of the hinge out of the door first, then pull the hinge free of the bracket and detach it from the wires and water line.
  3. Prepare New Hinge: Unthread the screws to release the closing cam from the old hinge. Align the cam on the new hinge and secure it with the screws. Transfer the plastic shim from the old hinge to the new one.
  4. Install New Hinge: Align the wires and water line in the hinge slot. Insert the rear tab into the bracket, then insert the front of the hinge into the door. Align the hinge support on the support bracket and push the support down to secure the hinge.
  5. Reposition Cover: Reposition the cover and rethread the three mounting screws.
  6. Plug Back In: Plug the power cord back in, and your refrigerator should be ready for use.

By following these steps, you can replace the upper left door hinge on your Samsung refrigerator and ensure that it operates smoothly once again. If you need any further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to a professional for help.
