SIGNS OF A DIRTY CONDENSER

Dirty condensers cause (a) higher evaporator temperatures and consequently higher temperatures in the cabinet, (b) higher operating temperatures in compressors and condensers, (c) longer running time, and (d) slow ice production and poor refrigeration. This is usually misdiagnosed as a low charge or bad compressor due to the overheated compressor short-cycling on overload.
